PEERS Vancouver Prostitutes Empowerment Education Resource Society
PEERS - What We Do PDF Print E-mail
PEERS Vancouver offers exiting and support services to current and former sex workers who have made the decision to leave the industry and transition into mainstream employment.  This can be a challenging and sometimes daunting task which can lead to feelings of frustration and discouragement.  Understanding that, we offer clients an opportunity to share, discuss and work through many of the barriers and issues that can prevent sex workers from moving forward and achieving their goals.
Our bridging program, Elements, encorporates both independent and group formats to set goals, remove barriers, enhance employability skills and develop self-awareness.  This is acheived through various methods and allows participants to explore a range of ideas and resources.  For more detailed information on the program please see the section on Elements.
Making a positive life change is a process that can sometimes seem overwhelming and make staying in your current situation feel like the easier thing to do.  Participants can and are encouraged to book appointments with our counsellor as a way of managing the rough spots and addressing issues that may currently be present or come up during activities.
For more information or to book an appointment to speak with our staff please contact us at 604 681-0344 or send us an email via the contact tab in the main directory.
